HARTFORD, CT (October 27, 2015) – Insurity, Inc., a provider of core insurance processing software and services, today congratulates Sharon Ashton, worldwide commercial automobile manager with Chubb Insurance, on being named among the Top 10 Women in Insurance Leadership.
Now in its 10th year and presented by Insurance Networking News (INN) the Women in Insurance Leadership Awards program recognizes women in the industry whose pursuit of excellence, leadership and professional performance has fostered influence that redefines the insurance business and technology landscape.
Nominated by Insurity, Chubb’s Sharon Ashton stood out among the more than 50 nominees and was recognized for her leadership, innovation, and the effective application of her combined business, technology, data and customer services skills to drive and grow Chubb’s worldwide commercial auto business. She has established a reputation as a quality decision maker with an ability to manage complex initiatives. Ms. Ashton is recognized as a role model and mentor for young professionals as well as experienced colleagues looking to change career paths or transition to new roles.
The Women in Insurance Leadership program includes a ranking methodology determined by examining the quantitative and qualitative aspects of an individual’s performance, and overall influence on the institution, the industry and the community in which she lives and works. The judges also rank the candidate’s performance based on job complexity, contribution to the institution’s top and bottom lines, brand equity/shareholder value creation, corporate governance and ethics, management style and education and on her level of community involvement.
This year’s primary judges were all named an INN “Women in Insurance Leadership” in 2014 and bring a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and experience to their roles.
Jeffrey Glazer, Insurity’s president and CEO, commented on Ms. Ashton’s win, saying, “The Insurity team was pleased to have the opportunity to nominate Sharon and is thrilled with her well deserved win. She is an outstanding leader and possesses an impressive complement of people, technical, and business skills which she is able to consistently leverage to drive the success of Chubb’s commercial auto business as well as the professional growth of those around her.”
The winners will be featured in a special report from INN, and will be formally recognized at the annual Women in Insurance Leadership Forum, October 28 and 29 in Chicago.
