Chris Giglio is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurity and oversees all aspects of operations and strategic direction. He brings more than 25 years of executive management and software experience to Insurity.
Prior to joining Insurity, Chris was CEO for six years of Aderant, a prominent software provider to law and professional services firms specializing in practice management and workflow and case management. Chris has also held executive positions in the areas of client operations, software services, and implementations, as well as software sales and marketing leadership. In his prior leadership roles across several industry verticals, he has consistently delivered market leading technology solutions that enhanced value for customers.
Chris joined Insurity in July 2017, succeeding Insurity’s founder and CEO, Jeffrey Glazer. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
Michele Shepard is an enterprise software veteran who has managed leading software organizations through stages of rapid growth and profitability throughout her career. In the role of Chief Revenue Officer, Shepard will be responsible for all facets of revenue generation and strategy. She will oversee the growing sales and marketing functions and devise strategies that will drive continued expansion and customer value.
Before joining Insurity, Shepard was Senior Vice-President Sales & Marketing and Chief Revenue Officer for Vertafore Inc., the largest provider of technology for the insurance industry where she played a significant role in value creation. Prior to this, Shepard held various management and executive-level positions during a 12-year tenure at Gartner, Inc., leading Gartner’s global financial services organization.
Bob Larew is the Chief Operating Officer for Insurity. In this role, he manages all aspects of delivering solutions to our customer base. Bob is the senior executive responsible for all business operations, including Commercial Software offerings, Application Architecture, Application Development & Support teams, Application Service Provider Operations, Data Center, IT Infrastructure, and Business Process Outsourcing consisting primarily of State/Bureau reporting activities for Commercial Insurance Lines of Business.
Bob brings exceptionally strong insurance software and operations background to Insurity, having spent 25 years in the insurance industry as well as the software and integration services spaces. Bob’s experience includes leadership of all functional areas of vendor operations, including marketing, sales, product development, operations and support functions. Bob is responsible for implementing more than 100 mission critical carrier implementations in Internet, Web-enabled mainframe, client/server and mainframe-based solutions. Bob’s experience also includes implementation experience with dozens of tier one carriers in the Property & Casualty, Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care insurance business. Prior to joining Insurity, Bob’s career spanned nearly 20 years, including stints with companies such as Computer Sciences Corporation, Cybertek and ChannelPoint.
Mitchell Wasserman is the Chief Product Officer of Insurity. Prior to his current role, Mitchell was co-founder and CEO of Oceanwide. At Oceanwide, Mitchell was focused on designing and promoting the company’s market leading insurance SaaS solutions. Mitchell has chaired the ACORD Ocean Marine standards committee since 2006 and has spoken at IUMI, AIMU and IASA events on important industry issues.
Prior to Oceanwide, Mitchell co-founded Bizware Computer Systems and led the company to become the leading provider of PC-based business management software for the Retail Petroleum and Convenience Store industries. Mitchell has also co-founded several other entrepreneurial ventures in technology, real estate and hydro-power, and he sits on the board of several companies. He has served as the President of the Montreal chapter of the Young Entrepreneur’s Organization and was named High-tech Entrepreneur of the year by Pro-Montreal in 2005.
Mitchell holds degrees in Software Engineering and Public Accountancy from McGill University and he is a Chartered Accountant.
Chris Lafond is the Chief Financial Officer at Insurity responsible for finance, accounting, and a member of the senior executive team. He is an experienced financial and operating executive. He has over 12 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer for two publicly traded, multinational companies – Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, and Intralinks, a global leader in secure content collaboration SaaS solutions. He is also a member of the board of directors of SiriusDecisions.
Chris held finance positions at IBM and J.P. Morgan Investment Management. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Connecticut MS in Financial Risk Management Program and the Parents Council at Muhlenberg College. Previously, he has held positions with the boards of Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, Childcare Learning Centers (CLC) in Stamford, CT and the University of Florida MBA Program.
Chris earned a BA in economics from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the Columbia Business School.
Doreen Tyburski is Chief Human Resource Officer for Insurity responsible for strategic planning and management of all human resource activities. Doreen’s diversified 30+ year global business career incorporates a unique mix of Operations, Executive Management and Human Resources. As an accomplished Human Resource Executive her strategic leadership has been instrumental in helping companies in the technology, financial services and insurance industries. Doreen has extensive experience in organizational design and development, change management, leadership development, compensation and performance management and M&A integration.
Prior to joining Insurity, Doreen was Global Executive Vice President, Human Resources, for LexisNexis legal business, a $2.5 billion company, where she played a key role in leading the transition of the business for growth and increased profitability while transforming the HR organization. Prior to her role at LexisNexis, Doreen held several other executive positions including CEO of Renaissance, Inc.
Mark is the General Counsel for Insurity. He is responsible for all legal matters involving the corporation, including planning, negotiating and executing transactions with key customers and vendors and advising on all corporate and transactional matters.
Prior to his current role, Mark was one of the founders of Oceanwide and acted as its President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Oceanwide, Mark practiced Corporate and Technology law in Montreal and was a partner at a major Montreal-based law firm.
Mark holds two Law degrees from McGill University as well as a degree in Economics and is also a certified privacy specialist.
Jonathan is the Chief Information Officer of Insurity. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in IT Consulting and Software Development. He has worked extensively with enterprises and governments to plan, design, and implement solutions in the fields of Insurance, Telecommunications and Supply Chain.
Prior to his Insurity, Jonathan was Chief Operating Officer at Oceanwide where he was responsible for Software Operations, Infrastructure and Corporate IT across the Insurity group of companies. He also oversaw various Oceanwide departments including; cloud operations, project management, business analysis, quality assurance, configuration management and customer support.
Kirstin has a passion for building companies that invent leading-edge technologies to improve customers’ lives and solve the inefficiencies that exist in many traditional marketplaces. Prior to becoming President, Marr served as Valen’s Chief Marketing Officer. For six years, she fostered top-of-mind brand awareness and innovative thought leadership to complement Valen’s reputation of going the extra mile for its customers. Her efforts helped grow the company, establishing Valen as a pioneer in predictive analytics for insurers focused on meeting customer demands for transparency, responsiveness and fairness in risk management and business operations. The company consistently grew more than 50% YoY prior to being acquired by Insurity.
Marr was also founding member of the Insurance Careers Movement, a grassroots organization that’s grown to include more than 1,000 companies globally. In previous roles, she ran business-to-business marketing for internet technology pioneer, ServiceMagic.com (now HomeAdvisor), and launched a consumer brand that promoted energy-efficient products for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Additionally, Kirstin has a long-standing commitment to philanthropy and community leadership. She currently serves on the board of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame. She was also the Board President for Colorado MESA, a non-profit that serves underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students pursuing careers in STEM. Kirstin also co-founded a non-profit to benefit the Teen Lounge at Children’s Hospital Colorado, which helps teens enjoy a fun and relaxing space to spend their time while seeking medical treatment. Kirstin is past-president for American Society for Training & Development – Rocky Mountain Chapter (now Association for Talent Development), and has volunteered as a mentor for I Have a Dream Foundation as well as several other organizations.
Kirstin earned her Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Denver and her Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Chico.
