Jeffrey Glazer is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurity. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the business, which provides comprehensive solutions to help insurance carriers manage the entire policy life cycle for commercial, personal and specialty lines.
Jeffrey began his career working for The Hartford Insurance Group where he gained expertise in both personal and commercial lines insurance and technology. When he left The Hartford in 1985, he was a senior officer responsible for commercial lines insurance. He founded his own company in 1985, which focused on developing innovative software insurance solutions. His company, Programming Resources Company, now known as Insurity, was purchased by Equifax in 1994. At Equifax, Jeffrey served as vice president of the insurance division, where he was responsible for the market-leading software provided to the Commercial Property/Casualty industry. After ChoicePoint spun off from Equifax in 1997, Jeffrey joined the ChoicePoint team in its insurance division as vice president. ChoicePoint was acquired by Reed Elsevier in 2008 and integrated into LexisNexis. At LexisNexis, Jeffrey was responsible for the insurance business, which included software solutions as well as data, fraud and claims solutions and the Insurance Exchange.
David Wroe is a Strategic Advisor for Insurity. He has accumulated a wealth of senior level insurance and IT experience during his extensive 40-year career. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Chicago-based CNA, one of the world’s premier insurance organizations, from 1996 to 2001. From 1983 to 1996, David served as Chairman and CEO of Agency Management Systems, Inc., building AMS (now Vertafore) into the largest provider of automation services to insurance agents with a customer base exceeding 20,000 agencies. He had joined AMS in 1981 when he was asked to head AMS development after its acquisition by Commercial Union. He is currently providing consulting services through Clareworks.
Bob Larew is the Chief Operating Officer for Insurity. In this role, he manages all aspects of delivering solutions to our customer base. Bob is the senior executive responsible for all business operations, including Commercial Software offerings, Application Architecture, Application Development & Support teams, Application Service Provider Operations, Data Center, IT Infrastructure, and Business Process Outsourcing consisting primarily of State/Bureau reporting activities for Commercial Insurance Lines of Business.
Bob brings exceptionally strong insurance software and operations background to Insurity, having spent 25 years in the insurance industry as well as the software and integration services spaces. Bob’s experience includes leadership of all functional areas of vendor operations, including marketing, sales, product development, operations and support functions. Bob is responsible for implementing more than 100 mission critical carrier implementations in Internet, Web-enabled mainframe, client/server and mainframe-based solutions. Bob’s experience also includes implementation experience with dozens of tier one carriers in the Property & Casualty, Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care insurance business. Prior to joining Insurity, Bob’s career spanned nearly 20 years, including stints with companies such as Computer Sciences Corporation, Cybertek and ChannelPoint.
Lani Cathey is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Insurity. In this role, Lani is responsible for expanding and enhancing strategic relationships with clients through the delivery of innovative solutions that address specific business needs in an ever-changing marketplace as well as driving marketing efforts to elevate the brand.
Lani has more than 25 years of experience in technology and software sales, sales management and consulting. Prior to joining Insurity, Lani was a principal with Critical Path Strategies, a sales and management consulting firm that has been engaged with Insurity, ChoicePoint and LexisNexis Insurance Solutions since 2004. In this role, she worked directly with the sales organizations on sales initiatives, strategic planning and sales execution. Prior to her consulting work at Critical Path Strategies, Lani led sales and support teams and held various executive management positions with IBM Corporation.
Rick Sorensen is the Chief Financial Officer for Insurity. In this role, Rick manages the Insurity Finance and Accounting team, which aims to be the indispensable partner to our associates and leadership by providing them with information and analysis, workflow solutions and centralized support services that enable effective business decisions, improve performance and mitigate risk.
Rick joined Insurity in 1996 when he was hired by Equifax as the business unit assistant controller and was a charter member of ChoicePoint when it was formed as a spinoff from Equifax in 1997. Rick held numerous lead financial roles for ChoicePoint, including Controller of Equisearch, ChoicePoint Commercial Specialists and Osborn Laboratories. Rick has led the Insurity Finance and Accounting team since 2003, and in 2009 he created the Office of Business Management, which is responsible for strategic alignment, performance management, process improvements, and financial and IT services. During Rick’s tenure, he has successfully focused on the revenue, profit and cash drivers essential to the achievement of the company’s goals. Rick has also integrated six acquisitions into Insurity. Rick’s organizational vision is to ensure the effective translation of the Insurity strategy to all associates, empowering individuals to make effective decisions supported by accurate information to drive performance and maximize value for all stakeholders.
Michael Hammond is the General Counsel for Insurity. He is responsible for all legal matters involving the corporation, including planning, negotiating and executing transactions with key customers and vendors and advising on legal and transactional matters.
Michael was previously Senior Director and Senior Corporate Counsel for Insurance Services at LexisNexis, where he was lead counsel for the Insurity business. Prior to joining Insurity, Michael maintained a private law practice, concentrating on information technology law, copyrights, trademarks and business transactions, serving as outside general counsel to closely held businesses and leading outsourcing and technology contracting initiatives for banks, credit unions and other financial services companies. Previously, Michael was Assistant General Counsel to Vertafore, Inc., a provider of software, services and information for the insurance industry; Counsel to the Day Berry & Howard LLP (now Day Pitney LLP) law firm; and in-house counsel to Sonalysts, Inc., a multidisciplinary technology, defense, e-business and media services firm.
Dorrie Pighetti is the Chief Insurance Officer for Insurity. As our lead insurance expert helping, Dorrie helps guide and consult with our customers and prospects. She also oversees our newly formed Executive Consultants team.
Prior to leading this team, Dorrie led the Sales Solutions team, which works directly with customers and prospects to ensure we are aligning our solutions with their needs. Dorrie performed a wide variety of functions including business analysis, client management, team management, requirements assessments and consulting. Dorrie has extensive experience in leading requirements assessments and was instrumental in developing the Insurity Client Requirements Process. Dorrie is also part of the Executive Governance Committee (EGC) for several clients.
Dorrie has been with the organization since its inception more than 25 years ago. Prior to Insurity, Dorrie worked for 15 years for independent agents in Massachusetts, Connecticut and St. Thomas, USVI. During this time, she gained diverse insurance experience in both personal and commercial lines, with a focus on mid to large commercial accounts as well as program business.
Ken Safft is the Vice President of Human Resources for Insurity. Ken has been an HR leader in a variety of industries for the past 15 years. Since joining Insurity in 2010, ken has managed all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and performance management. Prior to Insurity, Ken’s experience includes assignments with global responsibilities, as well as assignments with Fortune 50 companies, such as Nestle S.A.
Bruce is the Vice President of Data Products & Strategy for Insurity. He is responsible for driving Insurity’s aggressive growth strategy leveraging the brand’s broad product and service offerings. Bruce is the product owner, visionary, and chief evangelist for Insurity’s Insurance Enterprise View (IEV) solution, which is the most comprehensive insurance data product on the market. With more than 30 years of experience in insurance IT running large organizations and programs, Bruce brings a strong solution and delivery background to further enhance Insurity’s value proposition.
Prior to joining Insurity, Bruce most recently spent 15 years with IBM as Associate Partner, Global Insurance Consulting practice. During that period, Bruce was the product and global services owner for IBM’s Insurance Data offerings, Insurance Application Architecture (IAA), and Insurance Information Warehouse (IIW). He also led many of IBM’s largest and most complex U.S. insurance implementations, specializing in Policy Administration transformations, enterprise data projects, and complex project integration management.
Bruce’s career also includes his positions as Vice President, Application Development & Support with the Pan-American Life Insurance Company and Director, Base Application Development for insurance software vendor CAPSCO–Pallm Systems.
Jim Hatch is the Vice President of Product Management & Engineering for Insurity and manages a portfolio of common applications, including policy, claims, reporting and billing administration systems as well as corporate technology infrastructure and new product development. He is also responsible for managing hosting and data center operations for hosted clients as well as help desk and infrastructure support for both hosted and deployed clients.
Jim joined Insurity (then a part of ChoicePoint) in 2003 with the acquisition of the claims administration software company he co-founded in 2000 after successfully growing the Pyramid Services claim software company from $2 million in annual revenue to $25 million as COO and CTO. Prior to Pyramid, Jim spent 12 years in the property and casualty insurance industry at Aetna Life & Casualty and Orion Capital Companies, where he was CIO of its workers compensation insurance subsidiary.
Clyde Owen is Vice-President with Insurity, overseeing product solution strategy and business development.
Clyde was previously the General Manager of the LexisNexis Insurance Exchange, a division of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Clyde was responsible for the development and implementation of an on line submission and collaboration platform for agents, brokers and carriers.
Prior to his managerial role at LexisNexis, Clyde was Senior Vice President of Business and Product Development at Insurity. In this role he expanded the company’s’ expansion into new products and markets including the acquisition of several businesses.
Clyde’s other previous roles at Insurity included Business Development and Vice President of Insurity’s outsourcing services group. Recognizing key industry trends, Clyde led Insurity’s entry into the outsourcing space. He led the effort to create a BPO offering that was immediately competitive through a combination of strategic acquisition (IDI, WINS), internal build, and development of a professional services organization with specific property and casualty insurance expertise. He personally developed go-to-market strategy and led early sales efforts that resulted in winning charter deals.
Prior to joining Insurity, Clyde held several financial leadership positions in various corporations including KFC (a Japan-based provider of manufacturing hardware), Coca-Cola enterprises, and KPMG. Clyde holds a MBA in International Business and a CPA designation.
Mitch Cain is the Chief Architect for Insurity. In this role, Mitch is responsible for the planning and execution of the Technology Roadmap and architectural design of Insurity’s core product initiatives, as well as serving as technical liaison to the Sales & Marketing team.
Mitch has been developing Commercial Software professionally for more than 26 years with experience in both the retail and insurance industries and e-commerce. He has held several leadership positions in various roles from development and product management, sales and marketing, through CTO. He has been a featured speaker at national conventions on Internet marketing and Web development, including FMI and Retail MarkeTechnics.
Krista Weaver is the Vice President of Customer Operations for Insurity. In this role, she is responsible for supporting Insurity’s more than 40 Commercial Lines customer base. Krista is backed by a team of project managers, business analysts, software developers and quality assurance analysts, all directed at delivering operational excellence to drive customer satisfaction and profitability. Since joining Insurity in 2004, she has held a number of leadership roles focused on project management, operations management, process improvement and finance.
Prior to joining Insurity, Krista spent eight years with Accenture as a management consultant.
Christine Kasson is the Vice President of Customer Operations for Insurity. In this role, she leads a Customer Portfolio team responsible for all aspects of support for clients with an Assigned Resource Team service model. Christine joined Insurity in February 2010 to lead the Project Management Office and was promoted in January 2011.
Christine has 25 years of software development experience with 14 years in management roles. Prior to joining Insurity, her experience included project and program management, software implementation, process improvement, offshore team and vendor management.
Laurie Nilsen is the Vice President of Operations for Insurity. In this role, she is responsible for Shared Services, providing regulatory/bureau content delivery and software engineering services to business operations. In addition, Laurie is responsible for process standardization and centralized business administration functions, including project governance, enterprise capacity planning and performance measurement.
Laurie has been with Insurity for seven years and has 20 years of experience in the insurance software and insurance vendor software industry.
Brenda Burns is Vice President of Customer Operations. In this role, her responsibilities include managing the development and delivery of Insurity’s Insurance Enterprise View (IEV) solution.
Brenda is an accomplished leader in Information Technology with application development experience spanning many years in the Insurance industry. In addition to bringing a decisive, results-oriented approach to managing development areas, she is well versed in leading large-scale projects, customer accounts and operational activities.
Prior to joining Insurity, Brenda served as the lead for the underwriting applications with Markel Corporation’s Global Insurance division. She has also held management positions in Virtusa/Insource Consulting and LexisNexis
Deborah Samples is the Vice President of Business Consulting for Insurity. In this role, Deb is responsible for expanding Insurity relationships with our customers by working with them to review their operations and better optimize the processes and the automation of those processes. With her knowledge of insurance and insurance company operations as well as her past experience implementing system wide automation projects, she is well positioned to work with the business users as they determine their process design and automation needs.
Deborah joined Insurity in 2011, after more than 30 years of experience in insurance company operations and system implementations. Prior to joining Insurity, Deb held senior leadership positions at several insurance companies including The St Paul Companies, Washington Casualty Company and GE Commercial Insurance. She has led underwriting, policy processing, marketing and claims departments. In her various roles she was responsible for the analysis and redesign of operations and the implementation of processing systems that had a companywide impact. During her time at GE Insurance she led the implementation of the Insurity policy processing system for the GE program business.
Deborah is a CPCU and received her MBA in Management from the University of Washington.
